Nathan Canby is a Senior Attorney in litigation at Rosenfeld. Since graduating from Yale Law School, Nathan has practiced general civil litigation, representing both plaintiffs and defendants in matters ranging from labor and employment to real estate disputes, trust and probate litigation, and business contractual disputes.
Much of Nathan’s work for Rosenfeld has been for clients in the entertainment and media industries, and he has made a minor specialty of handling intellectual property disputes involving copyright, trademark and publicity rights cases. Nathan has practiced before the trial and appellate courts of the State of California as well the United States District Court and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, and before the United States Trademark Trial and Appeal Board and the National Appeals Division of the United States Department of Agriculture.
In addition to his degrees in English and Law from Yale, Nathan holds an M.F.A. in Playwriting from U.C.L.A. He is the author of plays which have been produced in theaters across the United States, and is involved in the production of theater here in Los Angeles.
