Luke D. Lieberman is counsel at Rosenfeld where he practices entertainment and intellectual property law.  Luke draws on deep entertainment industry experience to provide counsel to studios, producers and distributors as well as helping individual writers and directors navigate Hollywood and control their own destinies.

Luke has handled development and IP acquisition for studios and production companies such as The Weinstein Company, Cross Creek Pictures, Endemol and Miramax as well as distribution and financing for independent distributors.  He has managed production legal on television series such as ScreamThe Young PopeSpy Kids TV and Kingdom, and feature films such as EverestMax Steel and Polaroid.

Luke's intimate knowledge of IP licensing and development results from his longstanding position as the licensor of the Red Sonja franchise.  Since re-launching the Red Sonja comic book title in 2005, Luke has overseen the publication of more than 300 comic books and 50 graphic novels which have sold millions of copies worldwide.  Luke personally authored over 60 comics in the title and has licensed feature film, television and video game rights, as well as numerous categories of merchandise.  Prior to his legal education, Luke oversaw a federal litigation to protect the Red Sonja trademark which was settled in favor of Red Sonja, LLC in 2008.  Most recently, Luke co-created the New York Times best selling Stan Lee's Alliances: A Trick of Light with the legendary Stan Lee (SpidermanX-MenIron Man) and academy award winner Ryan Silbert, and co-written by Edgar nominated Kat Rosenfeld, and produced by Amazon's Audible division.

Luke began working in physical production at the age of 16, before attending NYU's Tisch School of the Arts.  Having worked on dozens of projects as a director, producer, editor, production coordinator and location manager, he has practical experience in every stage of film and television development, production, and post-production.  With these experiences, Luke has particular insight into the entertainment and publishing industries.  More importantly, having been an entertainment client himself on numerous occasions, Luke understands the goals and need of his own clients.

Luke is a brother of four, an uncle of 11, a father of two, and a husband to one Shannon Lieberman, who is the joy of his life.
